Noise Levels

I'd like to comment on, and ask about noise levels.

According to your information, at level 4, the fan should be 47.7Db at 1m (moderate rain/fridge). 

Mine sounds much louder than like than what I imagine as 47.7Db (e.g. comparing to a rated bathroom fans) at level 4 or even at level 3.  At level 4, is's much louder, sounds a bit like it's taking off (even 3m away).  I think level 2 is much closer to what I'd imagine as quiet rain.    Sadly I don't have access to a calibrated meter.

In addition I think the sound, even at level 2 is a bit ragged, with some less than soothing frequencies, and some variance in the sound over time.

I don't write this to complain.  But to provide feedback, and check whether my experience matches that of others, or if my fans are from a bad batch?
