    Hi Patrick,

The display lights up when a nearby object (or hand!) is detected. If your unit is lighting up at other times it may be due to electronic interference (do you have any mains-supplied electronics close to your Briiv?). The Briiv will also light up when it performs an automatic reset, which usually occurs if there's a power supply problem, or if your unit is connected to the app if there's an interruption in the network connection.

If none of the above helps there may be an issue with the unit itself, in which case I'd recommend sending us an email so we can look into this further for you!

    Hi Taylor Brett,

This issue was on the original unit, not the Briiv 2 Pro! Are the lights on your unit white or blue? And if your unit is connected to the app please can you confirm a stable internet connection? The only reason your unit would knowingly light up if connected is due to an unstable WiFi connection which would cause the unit to re-boot to re-establish connection, waking the unit up and causing the two outer lights to come on.

If the lights are blue, this indicates that your unit is not connected to the app.

As we haven't had a report of this previously any information you can provide would be incredibly helpful!

    Thanks,

    Team Briiv

    hi,

i can confirm that the light turns on white the same as if it is being touched to activate and the full speed selector and boost button are illuminated. the connection to the app seems stable and i am able to control the unit fully with no issues. the light illuminate whether the unit is on standby or in use it still turns on frequently

    Hi Taylor Brett,

Thanks for confirming. As mentioned we haven't had any other reports of this with the Briiv 2, but I'll log this with the team. It may be worth checking if you have any mains connected devices nearby that could be causing interference, but generally unless your Briiv is surrounded there shouldn't be any external interference! I'd also check your plug by swapping it for an alternate USB power supply (such as that from a phone charger) to see if there's a power supply issue.

    hi,

this is concerning as i have tried multiple outlets and several different power adapters and even resetting the unit, deleting and reinstalling the app, then reconnecting to the app but the issue persists. additionally, the touch sensitive buttons are frustratingly temperamental when pressed. this has happened since i first got the product and i am worried the sensor is potentially faulty and being triggered randomly which is casing it to illuminate. please let me know your thoughts and if there is a possible resolution. thank you

    Hi Taylor Brett,

Please can you send a video of your interaction with the unit over to our customer service team on ask@briiv.co.uk and they can assist with this, as it seems to be beyond the usual causes of this issue. They'll be able to have our engineers weigh in and give tailored advice.

    Thanks!
