Enough components to create 35 full production Briiv Pro were expedited to us last week, allowing us to approve the main shipment and also start putting them through their paces! 

So far we've stripped them all down to check for any potential production issues, programmed a bunch of them and started to test their basic functions.

Quality Control Refining 

This step is super important as missing a small detail at this point has the potential to cause quite significant delays. During this process we caught a few small things like trapped cables and transit damage, which has enabled us to put together a pretty comprehensive QC checklist for our production team and it also allows the manufacturer to reassemble/ repack all of the units to prevent damage.

EMC testing

Our final EMC Testing is under way! Now that we have final working units in a production ready form, we are able to get the final certification from the external testing houses for safety compliance. This follows months of testing with our internal equipment to design it to compliance in the first place.

This was sent early last month so we're expecting the test results by the end of June.

Packaging Ordered 

One of the last things to get on order was the packaging. With the shortest lead time, these are now heading off into production and will be ready for the arrival of the other Briiv parts. Here’s a sneaky peek!

In keeping with our ethos, we have opted for this stylish yet eco-friendly white ink on brown recycled card.

Moss Successfully Picked

Good news! We now have all the moss we need in its raw un-prepared state in the warehouse. The next stage over the this month is to sterilise and prepare the moss with our specially developed process, ready for use in air purification. More on this next time as we carry out the processing over the next month!

Fragrance Bung Success 

Following on from our previous update where we added a nifty bung to the Briiv fragrance stick area, we now have a number of small samples to experiment with. We're trying to make sure they're all perfect, and so far, so good! They are already looking great and are adding some neat functionality, along with them being much easier to use than our previous design.

We'll continue to tweak and perfect this over the next month so that we're sure it works consistently with the varying sizes of natural rattan diffuser sticks we are using. (Pesky nature and making everything different sizes!)

Shipment Delay By Two Weeks

Due to the fun we've had with the base parts having some QC fails we were not happy with, it has delayed the expected shipment of those to us by 2 weeks whilst they were checked and repacked. We have allowed for a buffer on our timeline, so we are still able to ship Briiv out to you in August as planned, but it will be towards the end of August opposed to the start.
