Your April Briiv Pro Update!
We're already in April!? This year is speeding by! š£
Here we are with our monthly update to keep you in the loop. It's been a busy one here with a lot of organising, but progress has been good and we're still on schedule for shipping in August.
Here's a rundown of the big happenings! Ā
All of the parts for Briiv Pro are in production
From sensors and microchips to glass mouldings, screws and bio-plastic! Every last part is ordered and in production, with our bio-plastic being moulded and electronics assembled prior to sub assembly, with no delays to this part of our schedule.
We've ordered spare parts for every component, so even if some fail we won't be slowed down during the fulfilment phase. Ā
Testing
While we've been waiting for the parts to be made, we've been continuing testing and experimenting with our Briiv Pro units and tweaking the algorithms that we use with AI to optimise and enhance harmful particulate and gas detection. We'll continue refining this right up until we start to ship out units, and after a few months it's slowly taking over our 3D printer's bench!

You'll also notice a few different types of moss we've been experimenting with that are slowly taking over the other side of our 3D printing station!
UI Optimisation
Using the pre-production parts we've been making refinements to the touch user interface, and with a vast amount of feedback from our original Briiv units we've modified the buttons to a more sensitive set up that responds faster to touch.
Along with other smaller modifications, we have altered the colours and added neater transitional animations to makeĀ Briiv Pro more enjoyable to interact with.
We have also finalised and improved the control of the Air Quality feedback on the device, so you can have more control without necessarily having to use the app.
App Updates
Last month we got our first draft of the app, and since then we've been getting it working with our units and have worked through a lot of bugs to the point where there are only two issues left to resolve! These are in the schedule setting, plus a couple of the days on the air quality reporting graph are the wrong way around!
All in all, thatās not too bad! We are now planning on getting the app launched as a beta over the next month and then following that we'll release it ahead of the Briiv Pro fulfilment. This will let existing Briiv owners use the upgraded app and help us find any sneaky faults before Briiv Pro ships. This way you should get a much more satisfying out of box experience. Ā
We're pretty happy with progress on this side of things given the troubles we've had previously with app development! As seen below in our digital test build environment!

Now we're starting to get production level firmware and finalised parts, we will be able to start putting the manuals and user guides together and give you an early look at those over the coming months.Ā
I hope you've found this months update useful and if you have any other questions please let us know in the comments.Ā
