We have some exciting news this month as we move further through the pre-production and testing phase and into the full production phase!

Completed Bio-Plastics

We're super proud of the finish we've been able to achieve on the bio-plastic components. The complex geometry, thick wall sections and the general unruly nature of bio-plastic really threw up some challenges at the start of the pre-production process! But we're happy to say that we have successfully passed all pre-production tests and we now have the green light for full production!

This is an image of the final base component of Briiv Pro with all of the correct markings, ready for production. If you look closely you'll notice some small rough sections on the inside of feet areas and right in the centre of the base. These are injection points for the bio-plastic which ensure an even fill of material with every shot of the machine. If you don't space these correctly, or you have too few injection points, the material tends to cool and solidify before being able to reach the other side and this is where you'll start to see missing wall sections or sometimes even entire features get missed... which is real bad. Once the component comes off of the machines, it is then a manual process to clip the injection points down flush to the surface, and with this particular component, the injection points will be hidden behind nice and soft cork feet.

Below is a close up of the essential oil reservoir that sits underneath the coconut layer in Briiv Pro. To ensure the correct amount of fragrance is loaded into Briiv Pro we have included a clear 'Max' level indicator along with a 'Do Not Overfill' warning. This will all be completely hidden underneath the coconut and is just a nice and easy reminder not to overload the unit each time you'd like your room to smell nice 😌.

The Briiv Fragrance Collection

This is something we've been wanting to do for a very long time and with the new functionality that Briiv Pro offers, we can now start to explore our very own home fragrance collection! 

We've been working in collaboration with a very local (next door but one) natural fragrance house, to help craft our signature scents and we've finally perfected them.

Below is an image of our chosen blends which will all be revealed once they're packaged up in some fancy Briiv bottles and we have finished our sniff testing! 

Production Update

We are now getting underway with the main component production as everything has been officially signed off 🥳 This took a little longer than we'd have hoped, but we had to ensure all of the components that make up your Briiv Pro's are perfect and meet our very high standards here at Briiv! 🔬

We will be keeping a very close eye on production and have implemented our tried and tested quality checks that we use for our original Briiv to ensure consistency at every stage of production.

App Updates

The first draft of the app modifications we are making are now complete, so we can start testing and fault finding the features in the app. While working on the app we made a number of big performance fixes that will also help improve all the existing Briiv units too. 

Alongside the app, we have written hundreds of lines of code, building on what we had for the original Briiv,. Amongst other changes and improvements, we have;

• Improved the Touch sensitivity
• Improved the networking speed
• Improved the Scheduling 
• Improved the filter health monitoring
• Improved the Fan control
• Finished off the sensor integrations ready for production. 

We have also started to get ready for production by building a programming terminal. built from scratch this little bad boy can program 4 Briiv units at a time and will allow us to get straight into production when finished parts start to arrive.
