Glad you asked Mark we will have a lot more information coming about Briiv pro when the kickstarter campaign launches next month, however for now I can tell you that it's larger and a lot more powerful than the first model. It also has two new modes including canary mode which can automatically sense poor quality air and clean your space when it's needed and Hive mode which means you can connect and control mutliple Briiv pro units.Ā

We will also be talking about the differences between Briiv and Briiv pro here on the community in the coming weeks so keep your eyes peeled.

To sum up Briiv pro has improved air flow, new smart sensors that the original doesn't have, and new filter materials (more details will be coming on this)

I just thought of a question. Controlling it with your phone is handy, yes. And ā€œair touchingā€ is pretty cool. But what if you wanted to be able to control it with a remote control that wasn’t a phone? Just something I’d thought to put out there. I’m not one who likes to use stuff like Alexa and such so I would likely never use that feature. But having a remote control could be nice to have aside from the phone, so as not to be tied to the phone too much. Not the end of the world if it doesn’t happen but I just thought to throw that out there. I know other air purifying companies have the remote control option (like the Rabbit Air).

    Hi Sarah,

With Briiv we're trying to limit the additional accessories, and potential waste, that other air purifiers have. As most people already have a smart phone it seemed like the logical choice to make this the remote control option! That said, there are other control options with Briiv Pro that you might prefer.Ā

    • You can use the scheduling function on the app to pre-set the time and speed that you'd like your unit to be active for. The unit will then follow the schedule without you needing to be tied to the phone!
    • Briiv Pro has an in-built sensor which uses machine learning to detect poor air quality and turn the unit on when required.Ā

Both of these offer a similar option to a remote control, and would only require minimal phone use!

So some questions about Briiv Pro:

    1. Is it now a USB-C power connection?

    2. Is it ā€˜Matter’, Homekit Ā etc compatible?

    Moved question to here:

Someone else asked in a different thread - what's the difference in power draw? Thank you.

Russ Baldwin Answered your question over on the other thread!

Sierra Pickett The power draw for Briiv Pro is actually the same as the original Briiv, using a 5V USB connection. The difference with Briiv Pro is that we now have a larger, more efficient fan so it can produce more power!Ā
