Are the filters biodegradable?

Both types of moss and the coconut filters are suitable for your home compost, and will biodegrade fairly quickly.

The activated carbon filter that can be used with Briiv 2 can also be added to your compost. While it doesn’t biodegrade, it can be mixed into soil where it’s shown to be excellent for improving soil structure and preventing a build-up of impurities.

The nano matrix filter should be disposed of in your general waste, but the cardboard filter housing can go right into your recycling or compost at the end of Briiv's life.
