How to Use the Activated Carbon Filter in Briiv 2

Activated carbon is a great filter option for Briiv 2. This filter is ideal for removing odours and any chemical compound classed as a VOC’s (volatile organic compound). Read more about the activated carbon filter here. 

Adding the activated carbon filter to your Briiv 2 is simple, just follow the steps below. 

1. To change the activated carbon filter, first prepare a bin for either disposal or composting.
2. Lift the glass and push the filter down out the bottom of the glass. Dispose of the old filters.
3. Take a new coconut filter and place on a hard surface. Push the glass over the top to secure the coconut.
4. Place the glass back on to the Briiv.
5. Open your new activated carbon and slowly pour all the carbon granules into the glass. Spread the carbon out into an even layer.

You can also combine the carbon with our Yorkshire Moss filter. This will mean the moss can capture larger particulates like dust and dander, rather than them settling in the carbon filter or adding to the load of the coconut filter!

Take about half of the moss and arrange above the carbon, then you're ready to go.

This filter can only be used in the Briiv 2 models.
